PBI (Polybenzimidazole)

 

PBI polymer is an ultra high performance plastic developed in cooperated with NASA: National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and AFML: Air Force Materials Laboratory.

PBI shows extraordinary thermal properties:

  • Decomposition temperature (Td):      >600°C
  • Heat deflection temperature (HDT):   410°C
  • Glass transition temperature (Tg):      420°C
